412402 - Heavy Lift Helicopter paper bag

This set 412402Cargo Helicopter was released only in the UK and in the NL as far I can find out within a magazine "Lego Discover Technic" Magazine release 2 in 2024. The fun part of these small sets is that they come without a building instruction in the paper bag the instructions are in the magazine it comes with. However based on the image on the paper bag you can build the set by heart. This one takes a bit of deduction.

I first put all the model parts together that I could see and understand. That left me with just a few parts with which I could easily after 2 iterations construct the invisible winch mechanism. I was stunt by the small size of this set with two mechanisms one for the rotor and one for the winch. This designer really had a great day and ultimate form of thinking outside-the-box, I am impressed! Also eye for detail great by mimicking a cabin and to me it seems the designer is fan of Sikorsky aircraft. Great set for kids to play with.

Features
Rotors			The rotors are constructed with a Black Technic, Axle Connector Hub with 3 Axles with three Dark Bluish Gray Technic Rotor Blades (Small). Driven by a crank with two gears. Nice solution for this small setwith just 56 parts.
Winch			This winch in this size of a helicopter is really a gem. Just a Light Bluish Gray String Reel 2 x 2 x 2 Drum with Stud with a Dark Bluish Gray Chain 21 Links (16-17L) with two friction axle pins and a Black Technic, Gear 12 Tooth Double Bevel as trun knob. Because the size is small so the possible cargo as well the slippage is enough toreel in the 7L lift arm. THis lift arm by the way has the new reddish orange color introduced with set Merceds-Benz Gelaendewagen.
Landing Gear			The 3 point landing gear is a nice mimick of the one the Sikorsky cargo helicopter has. The 2 rear wheels are place wide apart to lift cargoclose to the body to improve flight characteristics.
Wheels and Tires			This set contains 3 sets of wheels and tires of type: Black Tire 14mm D. x 6mm Solid Smooth. Light Bluish Gray Wheel 11mm D. x 8mm with Center Groove.
