Steering
The front wheels can be steered using a wheel at the driver's position. The wheel drives an axle connected to a 8 tooth pinion gear. The gear drives a new flexible rack. The steering mechanism itself uses steering arms and toothed links. This model effectively has tilt steering since the angle of the steering column can be changed. |
Suspension
The rear axle uses a swing arm type suspension. The arms are 6L beams. A single central shock absorber provides support. One of the new control arms is used as a vertical member to support the shock, as well as connect to the roll bar assembly. |
