This set is a very nice and compact telehandler, with red colors and a front loader on the extender arm.
This telehandler front loader has some new parts from bigger sets like the extender and of course a new version of a one stud worm-wheel with axle ends in stead of the former on 3 stud pin. What I like about this set is the diversity in the parts and the B-model like a truck. This means for me that you can use this set as a beginner to get familiar with Lego Technic. You can consider this set as a successor of the Lego Technic set 8283 - Telehandler (Front End Loader) released in 2006. There are several functions for this set like 4 wheel steering, the arm can raise, the arm can be extended (same part as in the 42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 arm extension), and shovel can tilt. At the back, the special commemorative brick of 40th Lego Technic anniversary is used as a license plate.
