This LEGO Technic mini-build "Excavator" is included in a 'new' (at least for me) "Lego Discover Technic magazine" all about the theme. Diving into this phenomenon, I found out the magazine is released in the United Kingdom, Germany, The Netherlands and Poland. This started already in 2021, which means I missed it big time. SO when I have all the details I will write a separate article about it. Even the Lego website doesn't have info on this subject and Bricklink.com only what users submitted so far. The LEGO Discover magazine cycles through different themes next to Technic, including DREAMZzz and DUPLO, to offer deeper insight into the behind-the-scenes of those sets. It features interviews with LEGO designers, deep dives on sets.

The compact set features an Excavator built from 65 LEGO Technic elements, largely in the theme’s signature colours of yellow and black. This one comes for it size with a rich number of 5 functions! The 'bucket' moves from a dark bluish grey, secured on a base of 4 wheels. The base with wheels are running well. So the base, can turn with 3 turning points in the boom, jip and bucket and a 4th one the skid at the front, offering an impressive level of interactivity for such a small set. I am glad to see that smaller sets under 100 pieces are introduced again, unfortunately not in big numbers so I really need to keep release dates in check. At least the store around the corner only has a handful.
